You’ve booked your session, now what?

Welcome Landing Page

Now we’ll begin with a short planning process to make sure everything feels intentional and stress-free. Type A? No problem — there’s space for us to talk through details and collaborate on ideas. Not interested in filling out forms? That’s cool too. Just give me the basics and we’ll get right to it. On this page you’ll receive guidance on wardrobe, location options, and timing so you feel prepared and confident going into your session. I emailed you a link to this pre-session questionnaire, but if you haven’t yet filled it out you can get to it/complete the same form below.
During your session, I’ll guide you through natural movements and simple prompts, so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands or how to stand. We’ll talk, listen to music, move at a comfortable pace, and adjust as needed to create images that feel authentic and natural — even if you’re not used to being in front of the camera.  After your session I’ll get to work on carefully curating and editing your images.  You’ll receive a private online gallery via this website where you can view and download your pictures.

The goal is for you to feel comfortable, confident and like yourself.  Show up as you, and I’ll guide you through the rest

Styling Guide
People will often ask for some support on what to wear, so I’ve put together this style guide to help.

Colors and Tones

Solid colors and subtle textures photograph best, as do neutral tones with a pop of color.  Choose colors that complement your skin tone and work well together if changing outfits that make your brand or personal style.  If you’re looking for specific color recommendations, flattering options generally speaking can be cream, beige, camel, charcoal, navy, olive, soft blues, muted pinks, earth tones and jewel tones.

Clothing and Patterns

When possible I recommend avoiding fabric with busy patterns or small prints, as well as logos (unless it’s your own logo for a branding session).  Neon colors are also best to avoid, especially for me as your photographer who will be editing and color correcting.  I also recommend not wearing overly tight or restrictive clothing, that way we have options for posing and capturing movement during your session. It’s best to ensure that whatever clothing you do wear is clean, pressed and feel comfortable while fitting well.

Accessories

I also recommend having layers as options (think jackets, sweaters, blazers, cardigans).  Bring shoes that match your outfits, as well as comfortable options for walking in if necessary (hint: neutral shoes generally photograph best outdoors).  Any accessories we add should enhance your style, not distract from you or your brand

Makeup

I recommend wearing a slightly more defined look than your everyday look.  Also it’s good to note that matte makeup finishes photograph best generally.  I say style your hair as your normally would or feel best with, just a more polished look.

To-Pack Checklist

For your final packing checklist I recommend making sure you have:

⬜️Your pressed/ironed outfits and accessories

⬜️Any props or branding items (review full branding check list we compiled together)

⬜️Water or a beverage

⬜️Music playlist if you have one you love (feel free to share them with me on Spotify)

Mental Prep

✨Remember: You don’t need to know how to pose or have experience being photographed.

✨Trust the process, and know that I will guide you the entire time

✨Come as yourself (that’s what I’m trying to capture most authentically after all)

During Your Session

📷Arrive a few minutes early

📷Be open to movement (as possible) and direction

📷Communicate if something feels off or uncomfortable

📷Have fun, I promise the relaxed moments usually make the best photos
